Proposed Amendment to Consumer Logistics Services Act

(김한규) Kim Han-gyu, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, has introduced a proposed amendment to the Consumer Logistics Services Development Act.

The amendment focuses on addressing excessive additional delivery charges in regional areas.

Under this proposed, delivery operators would be required to report their delivery fees and calculation methods to the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

Additionally, the Minister has the authority to recommend adjustments if prices are deemed significantly high.

Kim, explained the rationale behind the proposal, stating that the burden of excessive fees is considerable, emphasizing the importance of ensuring all residents including those in remote areas, receive fair access to consumer logistics services.
