The Jeju Police will mobilize an Election Crime Investigation Situation Room ahead of the 22nd National Assembly election on April 10th.

During this period, they plan to increase the manpower of the task force, strengthen intelligence gathering and crackdown activities to prevent illegal activity.

In particular, they will focus on cracking down on five major election crimes including bribery, dissemination of false information, involvement of public officials, election violence, and mobilization of illegal organizations.

Meanwhile, 34 individuals who committed illegal acts were caught, and 32 of them were handed over to prosecution.

이 기간 수사전담반 인력을 늘려
첩보 수집과 단속 활동을 강화해
사전에 불법 선거 분위기를 차단하는데 주력할 계획입니다.

특히 금품수수와 허위사실 유포,
공무원 선거 관여, 선거 폭력,
불법단체 동원을 5대 선거범죄로 규정해 중점 단속할 방침입니다.

한편, 제21대 국회의원선거 과정에서
불법 행위를 저지른 34명이 경찰에 적발돼
32명이 검찰에 넘겨졌습니다.
