Since the full return of school offering face to face education in 2022, there has been a rise in school safety incidents.

According to the Jeju POE, the number of safety incidents in schools in the province last year increased significantly by 26% compared to the previous year, reaching 3,940 incidents.

By category, elementary schools accounted for the highest proportion of incidents at 44%, followed by middle schools, high schools, and kindergartens.

Incidents occurred most frequently during physical education classes and break times, mostly on playgrounds and in gymnasiums.



전면 등교 이후 학교 안전사고 늘어…26% 증가

지난 2022년 전면 등교가 실시된 이후 대면 교육활동이 증가하면서
학교 안전사고도 증가한 것으로 나타났습니다.

제주도교육청에 따르면
지난해 도내 학교에서 발생한 안전사고는 3천 940건으로
1년 전 3천 109건 보다 26% 크게 늘었습니다.

학교급별 안전사고는 초등학교가 44%로 가장 많았고
중학교, 고등학교, 유치원 순으로 나타났습니다.

시간대별로는 체육시간과 휴식시간에 , 안전사고 발생 장소는
운동장과 체육관이 가장 많이 차지했습니다.
