The Coast Guard is strengthening preventive inspections to block illegal immigration offenders.

Seogwipo Coast Guard announced that they will enhance on-site inspections and external activities by identifying blind spots of CCTV in 10 major ports during nighttime.

They plan to promote the reward system for reporting illegal immigration, offering up to 10,000 won, and provide guidance on how to report.

On the 25th of last month, the Coast Guard apprehended suspects attempting to smuggle out of Yeosu to Vietnam, involving stock market manipulation worth billions of won, at Seogwipo Port.
