Industrial activity in Jeju sees a decline in February while consumer spending increased.

The Honam Regional Statistics Office's Jeju branch reports that in February, industrial production in Jeju fell by 18.8% compared to the same month of the previous year. Significant declines were observed in the beverage and electricity or gas sectors.

This decline in industrial production led to a 6% decrease in shipments and a 15.5% reduction in inventory, particularly in food items.

However, large retail sales, a key consumption indicator in the region, increased 17.5% compared to the previous year.

광공업 생산 위축으로 출하도 6% 줄었고
재고는 식료품을 중심으로 15.5% 감소했습니다.

도내 소비 지표인 대형소매점 판매액은
1년 전보다 17.5% 증가한 것으로 나타났습니다.
