A recent study revealed that with each increase of 100mm in annual rainfall, the production output in the Jeju area decreases by 0.3%.

The Jeju Research Institute analyzed the impact of climate change on various industries in the region, finding that a 1-degree increase in average temperature results in a 3.1% decrease in industrial production output, while a 100mm increase in annual rainfall leads to a 0.3% reduction.

Based on these results, it is predicted that by 2040, industrial production output in the Jeju area will decrease from 4.3 to 4.4%.
Industries most adversely affected by climate change include construction, services, and agriculture, forestry, and fisheries.
Conversely, mining, electricity, and gas supply industries are expected to experience an increase in production output.



연 강수량 100mm 증가, 제주생산액 0.3% 감소

최근 잦은 비날씨가 이어지고 있는 가운데 연 강수량이 100mm 증가할 때마다 제주지역 생산액이 0.3% 감소한다는 연구결과가 나왔습니다.

제주연구원이 기후변화로 인한 제주지역 산업별 영향을 분석한 결과 평균 기온이 1도 증가할 경우 제주지역 산업 생산액은 3.1% 감소하고 연 강수량이 100mm 증가하면 0.3% 줄어드는 것으로 나타났습니다.

이런한 분석결과를 토대로 기후변화 시나리오에 적용하면 2040년에는 제주지역 산업 생산액이 지금보다 4.3에서 4.4% 감소할 것으로 예측됐습니다.

기후변화로 인한 피해율이 높은 산업은 건설업과 서비스업, 농림어업으로 나타났으며 광업이나 전기, 가스공급의 경우 오히려 생산액이 증가하는 것으로 분석됐습니다.
