Seogwipo Inspects for Legionnaires' Prevention

Seogwipo City's Western Health Center is conducting a survey on the water management status of multi-use facilities to prevent early Legionnaires' disease.

The inspection targets include cooling towers, bathhouses, and care facilities of large buildings.

Legionnaires' disease is an acute respiratory infection caused by bacteria that often spreads through large commercial facilities with increasing annual cases.

The incidence rate in Jeju is currently 6.05 per 100,000 people, which is significantly higher than the national average of 0.81.

점검 대상은 대형건물의 냉각탑과 목욕탕, 요양시설 등입니다.

레지오넬라증은 급성호흡기감염병으로 오염된 물 속의 균이 냉각탑이나 수도꼭지, 가습기 등을 통해 호흡기로 감염되며 매년 발생이 증가하고 있습니다.
