Jeju is expanding its efforts to pilot introductions to a Jeju-type Ecosystem Services Payment Scheme.

Following last year's nine villages, the Province will implement the Ecosystem Payment Scheme for nineteen villages this year.

The scheme will support 390 million won in the villages selected through a public offering.

The Ecosystem Scheme compensates local residents or landowners for their efforts in protecting the natural environment.


제주형 '생태계서비스지불제' 19개 마을로 확대

제주형 생태계서비스지불제 도입을 위한 시범 사업이 확대 추진됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 지난해 9개 마을에 이어 올해 생태계서비스 지불제 대상을 19개 마을로 대해 시행합니다.

공모를 통해 선정된 19개 마을에는 서비스 지불제로 3억 9천만 원이 지원됩니다.

생태계서비스지불제는 지역 주민이나 토지 소유자의 자연 환경 보호 활동에 대한 보상금을 지급하는 제도입니다.
