Jeju is operating an emergency epidemic prevention system in preparation for waterborne and foodborne infectious diseases as temperatures rise.

The Province maintains a 24-hour emergency contact system with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and health centers while strengthening monitoring and response to infectious diseases or outbreaks of diarrheal illness.

Waterborne and foodborne diseases are conditions that occur when people consume water or food contaminated with pathogenic microorganisms, leading to symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. In the past three years, there have been 24 cases during the summer season.

Authorities have urged that if two or more people exhibit symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting, they should immediately report to the nearest public health center.

수인성.식품 매개 감염병은 병원성 미생물에 오염된 물이나 식품 섭취로 구토나 설사, 복통 등의 증상이 발생하는 질환으로 최근 3년간 하절기에 24건이 발생한 바 있습니다.

방역당국은 2명 이상 설사와 구토 등의 증상이 나타나면 가까운 보건소에 즉시 신고해 줄 것을 당부했습니다.
