Seogwipo City has announced the operation of compensation insurance for damages caused by wildlife to crops or livestock.

As a result, in cases of economic losses due to wildlife such as roe deer, farmers can receive compensation of up to 10 million KRW per farm, covering 80% of the damages.

Additionally, support is available for the installation of preventive facilities to protect crops from wildlife.

However, the compensation amount for crops will be calculated based on their growth stage, while indirect damages, such as traffic accidents caused by wildlife, are not eligible for compensation.

서귀포시가 야생동물로 인한 농작물이나 가축 피해를 보상해주는
피해 보상보험이 운영되고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 노루 등 야생동물로 인한 경제적 손실이
발생할 경우 피해액의 80% 내에서 농가당 최대 1천만원까지 보상금을 받을 수 있습니다.

또, 야생동물에 의한 농작물 피해예방시설 설치비도
지원받을 수 있습니다.

다만, 보상액은 농작물의 경우 생육단계에 따라 산정되며, 야생동물에 의한 교통사고 등 간접적 피해는 보상 대상에서 제외됩니다.
