Jeju City enacts stricter measures against animal diseases
City to buy specialized disinfection vehicle

Jeju City is expanding efforts to keep the area free of foot-and-mouth disease and the highly pathogenic strain of avian influenza.

The city will buy a disinfection vehicle and sterilize animal farms and migratory bird habitats.

Authorities will also form and run a special department to deal with the threats during the relatively risky period from this October through next June.

제주시, 구제역·AI 차단방역 강화

제주시가 구제역과 AI 등 가축 질병에 대한 차단방역을 강화합니다.

제주시는 이를 위해 가축방역 차량 1대를 신규로 구입해 가축 밀집 사육지역과 철새도래지 주변을 대상으로 현장 방역을 강화하기로 했습니다.

이와함께 구제역과 AI 발생 위험시기인 오는 10월부터 내년 6월까지 특별방역대책 상황실을 설치해 차단 방역에 나설 계획입니다.
