‘EV ordinance’ made public
New regulations designed to spur wider adoption of electric vehicles

The province has enacted and made public an ordinance designed to spur wider adoption of electric vehicles.

The ordinance codifies government grants toward the purchase of EVs, charging infrastructure, and a computer network to administer charging information.

It also provides parking fee reductions for the drivers of EVs and exclusive spots for the vehicles in public lots.

The island was awarded the EV Model City Prize from the World Electric Vehicle Association on May 6th. The provincial government has designated that date EV Day and it will hold various events to commemorate the award.

전기자동차 활성화 조례 제정 공포

제주특별자치도가 '전기자동차 보급 촉진과 이용 활성화에 관한 조례를 제정해 공포했습니다.

주요내용을 보면 전기자동차 구매비와 충전인프라 구축비, 충전 정보관리전산망 설치 사업의 지원을 명문화했습니다.

또 공영주차장 주차요금 감면과 주차장 내 전기자동차 우선 주차구역 설치를 이번 조례안에 반영했습니다.

이와 함께 세계전기자동차협회로부터 전기차 모범도시상을 수상한 5월 6일을
전기자동차의 날로 지정해 다양한 행사를 실시하기로 했습니다.
