100 MW offshore wind farm planned in Gujwa

A 100-megawatt offshore wind farm is being planned for (구좌읍) Gujwa-eup.

In a Wednesday press conference from the provincial council building, representatives from Halla Wind Power outlined the firm’s plans for the project, which is to be located in (평대) Pyeongdae and (한동) Handong.

The company plans to spend 610 billion won through 2018 building 20 5.5-megawatt wind turbines.

The company has asked the Jeju Energy Corporation to designate the site as a wind farm zone. It also says it will work with the JEC whenever the agency is looking for partners in public wind power projects.

구좌읍에 100MW급 해상풍력 사업 추진

구좌읍 해상에 100메가와트급의 해상 풍력단지 조성사업이 추진될 전망입니다.

주식회사 한라풍력은 오늘(9일) 도민의 방에서 기자회견을 열고 구좌읍 평대와 한동 지역에서의 해상풍력 발전사업 투자계획을 발표했습니다.

주요내용을 보면 오는 2018년까지 사업비 6천 1백억여 원을 투입해 5.5메가와트급의 해상풍력발전기 20기 설치를 목표로 하고 있습니다.

한라풍력은 공공주도 풍력개발 투자활성화 계획에 따라 에너지공사와 협의해 지구지정 신청을 하고 사업자 공모에도 참여할 계획입니다.
