Jeju City to inspect travel agencies beginning Monday
Inspectors uncovered violations at 56 agencies in H1

Jeju City will begin a month of travel agency inspections Monday.

The city will focus on agencies that skipped inspections during the first half of the year and those that received complaints about poor customer service. There are 678 agencies in the city.

Authorities will impose administrative punishments for violations like breaching contracts made with individual tourists during the high season in August.

제주시, 14일부터 여행업체 운영실태 점검

제주시가 건전한 관광질서 확립을 위해 오는 14일부터 한달동안 여행업체들 대상으로 운영실태를 점검합니다.

점검 대상은 제주시가 등록 관리하고 있는 678곳으로 상반기 지도점검을 받지 않은 업체와 관광불편신고를 받은 업체를 중심으로 이뤄집니다.

특히 제주시는 8월 성수기때 개별여행객에 대한 계약위반 등 민원이 제기된 업체들을 집중 점검해 관련 규정에 따라 행정처분할 예정입니다.

한편 상반기 운영실태 점검에서는 56곳의 위반업체가 적발됐습니다.
