New road to link airport, Jeju City Five-Day Market
Construction on \26.8b-project scheduled to begin next year

There will soon be a direct route between Jeju International Airport and the Jeju City Five-Day Market.

Jeju City says it will begin land expropriation in October and that actual construction will start next year.

The city has earmarked 26.8 billion won for the 2.6-kilometer road. It will be between 20 and 25 meters wide.

Officials say the new road will improve traffic conditions around the airport and relieve congestion near (노형) Nohyung Rotary.

공항~오일장입구 도로 개설사업 본격

제주국제공항에서 제주시 오일장입구 구간 도시계획도로 개설사업이 본격 추진됩니다.

제주시는 이 구간 도시계획도로개설사업을 위해 다음달부터 본격적인 보상협의 절차에 들어가 내년에 착공할 계획이라고 밝혔습니다.

사업비 268억원이 투입돼 길이 2.6km에 폭 20~25m 규모로 개설되는 이 도로는 오는 2021년 완공을 목표로 하고 있습니다.

제주시는 이 도로가 개설되면 공항 주변 교통불편 해소는 물론 노형로터리 주변 교통체증이 해소될 것으로 기대하고 있습니다.
