Fall foliage on Halla to peak mid-October
Phenomenon is slowing working its way down mountain

Autumn leaves on Hallasan Mountain will be at their most vibrant around the middle of this month.

According to the provincial government, leaves on the mountain began turning in late September, and the phenomenon is now visible even at an elevation of 1,400 meters.

Forecasters say that foliage will be its peak near (용진각) Yongjingak Valley, Y Valley, and Witsae Oreum (윗새오름) from this weekend through roughly October 17th.

한라산 단풍, 이달 중순 절정

한라산 단풍이 이달 중순쯤 절정에 이를 전망입니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 한라산 단풍은 지난달 말부터 시작돼
현재 해발 1천 4백미터까지 내려온 것으로 관측됐습니다.

특히 이번 주말부터 17일 전후까지 한라산 용진각 계곡과 Y계곡,
윗세오름 주변으로 단풍이 절정에 이를 것으로 예상했습니다.
