Berjaya files \350b suit against JDC
Malaysian conglomerate files suit at Seoul District Court

We now have confirmation that the major shareholder of the resort-type residential complex in (예래) Yerae has filed a 350-billion-won lawsuit against the Jeju Free International City Development Center.

The Berjaya Group filed the suit at Seoul District Court last Friday. The JDC is its partner in the joint venture.

The Malaysian conglomerate is demanding the JDC pay 250 billion won for the construction work done so far… plus additional management and compensation fees incurred since the project was suspended earlier this year. Berjaya is being represented by one of Korea’s top three law firms, (태평양) Taepyeongyang.


버자야, JDC 상대 3천 5백억대 소송 제기

서귀포시 예래휴양형 주거단지 사업과 관련해 말레이시아 버자야그룹이 JDC를 상대로 낸 소송가액이 3천 5백억원에 달하는 것으로 확인됐습니다.

사업시행자인 버자야제주리조트는 지난 6일 서울지방법원에
JDC를 상대로 3천 5백억 원대의 손해배상 청구 소송을 제기했습니다.

버자야측은 지금까지 투입된 공사비 2천 5백억 원과 분양 지연에 따른 관리비와 위자료 등을 요구한 것으로 알려졌습니다. 소송업무는 국내 3대 로펌 중의 하나인 법무법인 태평양이 맡았습니다.
