The government will give farmland and housing to residents who will be affected by land expropriation for the construction of Jeju’s second airport in Seongsan. The paper says this will be a major expenditure.

Moderate earthquakes hit SW portion of country
Yonhap is reporting that two quakes jolted South Korea's southwest on Tuesday, but there were no immediate reports of damage. The first 3.9-magnitude quake hit Iksan at 4:31 a.m. The second 1.7-magnitude quake took place at 9:20 p.m.

Childbirths edge up in October
The number of childbirths in South Korea rose in October after falling for two straight months. This was good news for a country struggling with an aging population. Statistics Korea says some 36,900 babies were born, 1.1 percent more than in October 2014.
