Mt. Halla open to overnight hiking
Trail opens at 12 a.m. New Year’s Day


During the year Hallasan Mountain is closed to the public after sunset. However, on New Year’s Day it will be open to hikers so they can reach the summit and view the first sunrise of 2016.

The night trekking course will follow the Seongpanak Trail, which leads to the mountain peak. The course will be open to the public from 12 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

To ensure hikers safety, authorities will line the path with guide ropes and flags. Firefighters and professional mountaineers will also be on standby to handle any emergencies.

새해 첫 날 한라산 야간산행 특별 허용

한라산국립공원관리사무소가 병신년 새해를 맞아
첫 해돋이를 한라산 정상에서 맞으려는
해맞이 탐방객들을 위해 야간산행을 특별 허용합니다.

야간산행 허용 코스는 정산 등반이 가능한 성판악 탐방로이며,
새해 첫 날 새벽 0시부터 입산할 수 있습니다.

한라산국립공원관리사무소는 탐방객들의 안전을 위해
안전유도 로프와 깃발을 설치하는 한편 소방대원과 전문산악인을
정상등지에 배치해 만일의 사태에 대비하기로 했습니다.
