Over 60% of Jeju workers earn less than \2m per month
National Statistical Office releases data
According to a new report, six out of ten workers in Jeju earned less than two million won a month in 2015.
The data, compiled by the National Statistical Office, shows that 16.6 percent of Jeju’s workers earned less than one million won a month this year… and 45.7% received monthly wages of over one million but under two million won. Combined, more than 60% earned less than two million a month over the past year.
The percentage of workers who earned more than two million but less than three million won a month was 24.1 percent… while only 16.6 percent had monthly wages of over three million won.
The report also showed that less than half, 43.6 percent, of the local workforce were full-time workers.

백만원 이상 200만원 이하인 근로자는 45.7%로
전체 근로자의 60%가량이 월 소득이 2백만원 이하로 조사됐습니다.
2백만원 이상 3백만원 이하는 24.1%,
3백만원 이상을 받는 근로자 비율은 16.6%에 그쳤습니다.
특히 정규직과 같은 상용근로자 비율은
절반에도 못미치는 43.6%로 나타났습니다.
