Stronger measures against real estate speculation
Provincial government seeking more authority from national government

Authorities will work harder to prevent real estate speculation in 2016.

Jeju will request a transfer of rights from the central government to the provincial government in regards to setting regulations on housing prices and restricting the immediate resale of new property for a profit.

If approved, the governor will be able to both prevent new housing prices from soaring and adjust the current system of limiting apartment resales. Local officials say this would better suit the property market in Jeju.

제주특별자치도가 주택 공급 정책과 함께 부동산 관련 제도개선을 추진합니다.

제주도는 아파트 분양권 전매제한 기간과 분양가 상한제 지정권한을
정부에서 도지사로 이양받는 방안을
내년도 제주특별법 6단계 제도개선 과제에 포함하기로 했습니다.

권한이 이양되면 현재 1년으로 제한된 분양형 아파트 전매제한 기간도
도지사가 탄력적으로 정할 수 있고 민간 택지에도 분양가 상한제를 적용할 수 있습니다.
