Greenland Jeju Resort designated foreign investment zone
Qualifies for billions in tax breaks

The Greenland Jeju Resort, part of the Jeju Healthcare Town in Seogwipo, is now a foreign investment zone.

The provincial government announced Wednesday that final approval for the designation was made after an evaluation of the investment plans for the site, a feasibility study, and deliberations with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s foreign investment committee.

The designation means Greenland Jeju Resort will receive tax breaks of up to 50 billion won in national taxes and 31 billion won in local taxes through the year 2029.

The Greenland Jeju Resort is a 930 billion won investment project led by Chinese property developer Greenland Group. It will include a hotel, a water park, condominiums, and medical facilities on roughly 290,000 square meters of land.

녹지제주리조트, 외국인투자지역 지정

서귀포시에 조성되는 헬스케어타운 녹지제주리조트가 개별형 외국인투자지역으로 지정됐습니다.

제주특별자치도는 녹지제주헬스케어타운 유한회사로부터 접수된 녹지제주리트사업에 대한 외국인 투자지역 지정 요청에 대해 투자계획과 실행 가능성, 산업통상자원부의 외국인 투자위원회의 심의를 거쳐 승인했다고 밝혔습니다.

이에 따라 녹지제주리조트는 오는 2029년까지 국세 503억 원과 지방세 313억 원을 감면 받을 수 있게 됐습니다.

녹지제주리조트사업은 28만 8천 제곱미터 부지에 사업비 9천 300억원을 투자해
관광호텔과 워터파크, 휴양콘도미니엄, 의료 R&D센터 등 의료연구시설의 조성을 추진하고 있습니다.
