JTO to open new duty-free shop February 12
20% of merchandise will be Jeju-made

The Jeju Tourism Organization is scheduled to open a new duty-free shop next month.

The JTO is currently putting the final touches on the facility, which is slated to open inside the Jungmun Tourism Complex’s Lotte Hotel on February 12th.

60 percent of the merchandise will be from overseas while the remaining 40 percent will be Korean brands. Of that 40 percent, half will be goods produced here in from Jeju.

The JTO has set a sales target this year of some 65 billion won through the new shop.

제주관광공사 시내면세점이 다음달 12일부터 운영됩니다.

제주관광공사는 브랜드 입점과 매장인테리어 공사를 마무리한 후
다음달 12일부터 서귀포시 중문관광단지 롯데호텔에서
시내면세점을 운영한다고 밝혔습니다.

면세점은 해외 유명 브랜드 60퍼센트, 국내 브랜드 40퍼센트로 채워지며
이 가운데 절반은 도내 제품이 들어설 예정입니다.

한편, 관광공사는 시내면세점을 통해 올해 650억원의 매출을 기대하고 있습니다.
