January land deals up 16% year-on-year
Transaction monitoring to prevent speculation is ongoing

Land transactions in January increased 16 percent year-on-year, despite dropping 22 percent compared to the previous month.

Jeju City, however, saw the number of land transactions jump by 21 percent in January,.... compared to a month earlier -- to just over four thousand.

The provincial government has announced it will continue
to monitor all land transactions in a bid
to prevent real estate speculation
on the island.

제주도내 토지거래 전년대비 16% 증가

제주도내 토지거래는 여전히 활발한 것으로 조사됐습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 지난달 거래된 토지거래량은 전달보다 22% 줄어든 7천 필지지만 지난해 같은기간과 비교하면 16%가 증가했습니다.

특히 제주시는 지난달 거래된 토지거래 필지수가 4천447 필지로 작년 1월과 비교해 21% 증가했습니다.

제주도는 부동산 투기 집중단속과 농지기능 관리 강화 방침에 따라 토지거래 현황을 모니터링하고 있습니다.
