Kim Man-duk Memorial Hall gains ‘public museum’ designation
Jeju City attraction home to displays, info about famous island merchant

The Kim Man-duk Memorial Hall in Geonip-dong (건입동), Jeju City has been officially granted public museum status.

The province says the establishment met all requirements to become a public museum. Those included the presence of an exhibition area over 100 square meters in size and more than 100 exhibits on display.

The island is now home to nine public museums, including the Folklore and Natural History Museum and the Jeju Education Museum.

제주특별자치도에 따르면,
김만덕 기념관은 100제곱미터 이상의 전시실과
100점 이상의 자료 등 전시 요건을 갖춤에 따라
1종 전문박물관으로
공립박물관에 공식 등록됐습니다.

이에 따라 제주도내 공립박물관은
민속자연사박물관과 제주교육박물관 등을 포함해
모두 9곳으로 늘어났습니다.
