Police prepare for elections
Emergency shift work to continue until results announced

With campaigning now officially underway for the April 13th general elections, the provincial police agency says its officers have started around-the-clock emergency shift work that will continue until after election results are announced.

Their main role during this period will be to ensure the safety of each candidate and to guard polling booths across the island.

On election day, all police stations will remain on heightened alert from 6 in the morning until results are announced later that evening.

제20대 국회의원 선거에 따른 공식 선거운동이 시작되면서
경찰이 비상근무체제에 들어갔습니다.

제주지방경찰청은 오늘(31일)부터
총선 경비상황실을 중심으로
개표가 완료되는 시점까지 비상근무에 나서기로 했습니다.

특히 거리유세에 나서는 후보자 등 주요 인사의 신변을 보호하고
개표소와 투표소를 중심으로 경비활동을 강화하기로 했습니다.

선거 당일에는 오전 6시를 기해 모든 경찰서와 지구대에 최상위 경계령을 발령하고
대응 체제를 강화할 방침입니다.
