Pine wilt pesticide ‘not affecting’ surrounding land

Researchers say pine wilt pesticide is not affecting the eco-friendly farms near spraying sites.

The provincial government’s Institute of Health and Environment conducted a study and found that the pesticide sprayed by aerial drones did not remain in land or crops 200 meters away from the sites that were sprayed.

Even in the areas that were directly sprayed, no traces of the pesticide were found in crops after two weeks, though it was detected in the soil.

제주특별자치도 보건환경연구원은
항공방제 농약이 살포된 주변 친환경농경지를 조사한 결과,
직접 살포된 지역으로부터
200미터가 떨어진 작물과 토양에는
농약이 잔류하지 않은 것으로 확인됐다고 밝혔습니다.

또, 직접 살포된 지점에서도 살포 이후 2주가 지나면
식물에서는 거의 농약이 소멸되고
토양에서만 잔류하는 것으로 조사됐습니다.
