Authorities target illegal resale of apartment ownership rights
Owners of Jeju Science Park units face fines, prison for violations

The provincial government says it will strictly monitor the illegal resale of unit ownership rights in the new apartment complex going up in the Jeju Science Park.

The province, police, and tax office will crack down on illegal middlemen next week, once contract signing begins on May 23rd. They will then continue to closely monitor the people who received ownership rights to the units in the new apartment complex.

Resale of the rights for the units is banned by law for one year. It is also only possible once the current owner owns the unit free and clear. Violators can receive up to three years in prison or a 30-million-won fine.

'꿈에그린 아파트' 분양권 전매 특별단속

제주특별자치도가 '꿈에그린 아파트' 분양권 전매에 대한 특별 단속에 나섭니다.

이를 위해 계약체결시점인 오는 23일부터 사흘간
경찰, 세무서와 합동으로 분양권 불법 전매를 알선하는
이른바 '떴다방'을 중점 단속합니다.

또 계약체결 이후에도 건축현장과 중개업소 주변은 물론
당첨자 명단을 토대로 세무서의 협조를 받아 거래동향을 수시로 감시할 예정입니다.

꿈에그린 아파트의 경우 분양권 거래가 주택법에 따라
1년간 전매가 금지되며 계약 후 잔금지급을
전매제한 이후로 연기하는 것 역시 불법으로
적발될 경우 최고 징역 3년 또는 3천만원의 벌금형에 처해집니다.
