Theme Park to create 260,000 new jobs
Major Boost to Local Economy

The Jeju Myths and History Theme Park is expected to create 260,000 new jobs, according to a new study undertaken by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

The study forecasts that the theme park will offer a total of 257,000 new job opportunities from 2019, when the park opens, through 2025.

The park itself will offer approximately 143,000 new jobs. By sector, it will offer 43,000 jobs in the service industry, 31,000 jobs in food and beverage, and another 20,900 jobs in wholesale and retail industries.

The study shows that the total expected value to the local economy stands at 25.7 trillion won… with a potential added value of 10.8 trillion won value.

26만 명에 이른다는 연구결과가 나왔습니다.

고용노동부는 제주신화역사공원 조성사업에 따른
고용영향평가 연구에서 개장 시점인 오는 2019년부터 2025년까지
고용창출규모는 25만 7천 명에 달할 것으로 예측했습니다.

피용자 14만 3천여명을 비롯해 문화서비스 부문 4만 3천여명,
음식점과 숙박업 3만 1천여명, 도소매업 2만 900여명 순으로 나타났습니다.
이로인한 총산출액은 25조 7천억 원, 부가가치는 10조 8천억에 이를 것으로 전망했습니다.
