Jeju Police to crackdown on crimes by overseas nationals
Focusing on Yeon-dong and Nohyeong-dong

Investigations begin to root out the growing number of crimes committed by overseas nationals each year.

In particular, Jeju Police has designated Yeon-dong and Nohyeong-dong areas highly populated by foreigners… as Public Order and Safety Zones.

A special police unit will be formed to cover these districts to jointly deal with crimes, safety and traffic issues...related to foreigners.

Police will also join forces with Airport Immigration twice a month to crackdown on related crimes.

해마다 증가하는 외국인 범죄를 근절하기 위해 경찰이
외국인 밀집지역인 제주시 연동과 노형동을
외사치안안전구역으로 설정해 특별관리하기로 했습니다.

이에 따라 외사치안 안전구역에는 경찰의 외사계와 형사계, 생활안전계,
교통관리계 등 관련 기능의 합동 근무를 통한 치안활동이 전개됩니다.

특히 경찰은 매월 2회 이상 출입국관리사무소 등 유관기관과의 합동 단속도
추진합니다.
