Province proposes 75 changes to Jeju Special Law
Provincial council to assess bill

Local government officials have submitted to the provincial council a bill with 75 proposals for the sixth revision of the Jeju Special Law, which is the legal basis for the island's semi-autonomous status.

The proposals include a revision to the purpose of the local law, the addition of a new clause that gives the provincial government the right to lift investment promotion zone designations, and a raising of the percentage of earnings casinos must pay in tourism promotion tax from the current 10 to 20 percent.

Local authorities also want to be able to regulate housing prices and restrict the immediate resale of new property for a profit.

The proposals will be assessed at the provincial council in its upcoming session, which begins Friday. A two-thirds majority is required to pass the bill.

또 분양가 상한제를 민간택지에도 확대하는 안과
전매행위 제한 특례를 도입하는 안도 들어갔습니다.

이번 제도개선 과제 동의안은 다음주 열리는 도의회 임시회에서 다뤄지며
재석의원 3분의 2의 찬성을 얻으면 통과됩니다.
