Chujado to get \2.8b investment
National funding will be used to develop islet’s tourism industry


The government will spend nearly 2.8 billion won to develop the tourism industry on the islet of Chujado.

Jeju City says the money will be used on six marine tourism projects after it was chosen as one the country’s most popular islet vacation destinations.

Three of the projects involve the development of needed infrastructure, to the tune of 1.15 billion won. Another 1.52 billion will be used in two projects to help defray various fees for residents and tourists, and 140 million won has been earmarked to improve maritime safety.

The national government selected 33 of the country’s islets for this type of support. Chujado was the only islet in Jeju that made it on the list.

'휴가철 가고 싶은 섬' 추자도에 27억 투자

추자도 해양관광 활성화를 위한 기반 조성에 27억원이 투자됩니다.

제주시는 휴가철 가고싶은 섬으로 선정된 추자도에 해양관광 활성화를 위한 기반시설 6개 사업에 27억 8천여 만원을 투입한다고 밝혔습니다.

주요 사업 내용은 찾아가고 싶은 섬 3개사업에 11억 5천여 만원,
주민과 방문객 운임지원 2개사업에 15억 2천만원 해양보호구역사업 1억 4천만원 등 입니다.

한편 행정자치부가 선정한 전국 33개 휴가철 가고싶은 섬 가운데
제주에서는 유일하게 추자도가 선정됐습니다.
