Construction sector still booming
Most new permits issued for residential buildings

The local construction sector continues to hum along at a brisk pace.

Provincial officials say they issued permits for some 1,500 buildings last month, on 390,000 square meters of land. In terms of land area, that represents a 12 percent increase compared to June 2015.

About 11-hundred of those buildings were residential. They covered 220,000 square meters, and that is a 27 percent bump compared to last year. The area of permits for detached homes and apartment buildings rose 50 percent.

The land on which permits were issued for commercial buildings, however, fell 2.8 percent over the period to around 230 buildings on 120,000 square meters.

건축허가 꾸준한 증가세…주거용이 주도

제주지역의 건축허가건수가 꾸준히 증가하고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 지난달 제주지역의 건축허가건수는
1천 500여동에 39만 제곱미터로 지난해 같은기간에 비해 면적으로 12% 증가했습니다.

특히 주거용이 1천 100여동에 22만제곱미터로 지난해에 비해 27% 늘어났습니다.

반면 상업용은 230동에 12만제곱미터로 전년에 비해 2.8% 감소했습니다.

주거용 가운데서도 단독주택과 아파트가 전년에 비해 50% 늘어
건축경기를 주도하는 것으로 분석되고 있습니다.
