‘Geopark Trail’ event kicks off Aug. 13
Experts will be on hand to instruct visitors

A celebration of the beauty and importance of the island’s west coast environment is gearing up now. The 6th Jeju Geopark Suwolbong Trail is a nine-day event starting August 13th in Hangyeong-myeon (한경면), Jeju City.

Organized by the province, the event will kick off on the 13th with an opening ceremony in the morning and take place along the trails at Eongalgil (엉알길), Dangsanbong (당산봉) and Chagwido (차귀도).

Experts in geology, ecology and history will be on hand to explain the background of the trails to visitors. A geopark drawing and photo contest will also be held through to the close of the event on August 21st.

5. 수월봉 지질공원 트레일 13일 개최

제 6회 수월봉 지질공원 트레일 행사가 13일부터 21일까지 9일 동안
한경면 수월봉 일대에서 열립니다.

제주도 세계지질공원수월봉트레일위원회가 주관하는
이번 행사는 13일 오전 개막식을 시작으로
수월봉 엉알길과 당산봉, 차귀도 코스에서 진행됩니다.

행사기간 지질과 생태, 역사 분야 전문가와 함께하는
트레일 프로그램도 마련됩니다.

아울러 세계지질공원 사생대회와 사진공모전도
처음으로 열릴 예정입니다.
