Few tutoring businesses openly disclose fees
Government seeks industry transparency by 2017

A recent survey held in Jeju shows that only 20 percent of private tutoring business are disclosing their fees openly.

The ministry says that last month, out of Jeju’s 1,427 private academies, only 392 or 27.4 percent were found to have displayed their fees at the entrance to their buildings.

Although this is up from 21.7 percent last year, it is far below the national average of 39.2 percent.

The initiative was introduced by the government in an aim to make private academies more transparent and Jeju has been given until January 1st 2017 to be implemented island-wide.

제주도는 관련 조례 시행일을
내년 1월 1일까지 유예하고 있습니다.
