Jeju gets its 3rd designated drone zone
New area at Alddreu Airfield, Seogwipo

From next week, Alddreu Airfield in Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo, will be added to one of Jeju’s drone designation zones.

According to the Jeju Airport Management Office, the new one-kilometer radius drone zone was announced after conducting final technical inspections.

Currently, there are two other drone zones in Jeju. One is in Gujwa-eup, Jeju City, and the other is in Donghong-dong, Seogwipo.

There are presently 20 areas in and around Jeju International Airport where drones are prohibited.

서귀포시 대정읍 알뜨르 비행장 일대가
드론 전용 비행구역으로 추가 운영됩니다.

제주지방항공청은
기술검토와 현장실사 등을 거쳐
18일부터 서귀포시 대정읍 알뜨르비행장 반경 1km 구간을
드론 전용비행구역으로 추가 운영한다고 밝혔습니다.

현재 제주시 구좌읍 월랑봉 활공장 주변과 동홍동 미악산이
드론전용비행구역으로 운영되고 있습니다.

반면 제주국제공항 주변과 탑동공항, 용연다리 부근 등 20곳은
항공교통 안전을 위해 드론비행이 금지됐습니다.
