Police to strengthen crime-prevention measures during Chuseok
More safety inspections, patrols, etc.

Local police will be working harder over from next week through the end of the Chuseok holidays to make sure everyone on the island is safe.

The Jeju Provincial Police Agency will carry out safety inspections at financial institutions, convenience stores, tourist sites, and accommodations from September 5th through the 18th. They will also beef up patrols in crime-prone areas.

Finally, people who will be leaving their homes unattended for long periods of time can request that police keep an eye on them.

추석 명절을 전후한 오는 5일부터 18일까지 도내 금융기관과
편의점, 관광·숙박업소 등에 대한 방범 안전 진단을 벌이는 한편, 범죄 취약 지역에 대한 기동순찰을 강화하기로 했습니다. 한편, 명절 연휴 기간 오랫동안 집을 비우게 되는 경우에는 관할 지구대나 파출소에서 응답순찰을 신청하면 빈집 범죄예방에 대한 도움을 받을 수 있습니다.
