Provincial government, council sign agreement
Pledge to cooperate in dealing with current issues

The provincial government and council have signed an agreement to pursue balanced development through cooperation in policymaking and the resolution of the issues facing the island.

Governor Won Heeryong, Council Chairman Shin Gwan-hong, and Council steering committee Chair Kim Tae-seok held a press conference Tuesday at the provincial office. The three said both sides would work closely together to deal with current issues.

Won added that the agreement took into account previous discord between the provincial government and council… but that from now on the two sides would cooperate for the betterment of Jeju residents.

원희룡 지사는 이번 공동 협력문의 경우 도와 의회간 부분적 갈등에 대한 반성의 뜻이 담겨 있다며 앞으로 제주 발전과 도민 행복을 위해 함께 노력하겠다고 말했습니다.
