Halla Hospital to get nation’s 16th regional trauma center
Slated to open in 2018


National authorities have chosen Cheju Halla Hospital to run the nation’s 16th regional trauma center.


The Ministry of Health and Welfare selected it after considering several hospitals in Gyeongnam Province and Jeju.


Halla Hospital will be given an initial eight billion won for facilities and equipment. Future funding will range from 700 million to 2.7 billion won annually, depending on the number of years the trauma center has been in operation.


It is scheduled for opening in the first half of 2018. Once up and running, it will be capable of performing emergency surgery on patients 24/7 year round.


한라병원 권역외상센터 선정…2018년 구축


제주한라병원이 전국에서 16번째로 365일, 24시간 중증 외상 환자에 대한 응급수술이 가능한 권역외상센터로 선정됐습니다.


보건복지부는 경남.제주 지역에 대한 권역외상센터를 공모한 결과 제주한라병원을 선정했다고 밝혔습니다.


이에따라 한라병원에는 시설과 장비 구입비용 80억원과 연차별로 운영비로 7억에서 27억원이 지원됩니다.


한라병원은 시설과 장비, 인력을 투자해 2018년 상반기에 권역외상센터를 구축할 계획입니다.
