Operational standards for electronic gaming tables
New rules will come into effect January 1

Local authorities have announced a new initiative aimed at improving transparency in the casino industry.


The provincial government will soon issue Korea’s first operational standards for electronic gaming tables. In addition to governing the way the tables operate, they will include guidelines on table size.


The standards also include rules on data storage and the restoration of content.


The province will give administrative notice of the plan by December 26th. After hearing what the public thinks about it, officials plan to enforce the standards beginning January first.
