Jeolmul Recreational Forest and Olle Market lauded
Tourism ministry grants both ‘Korea Tourism Awards’

National authorities say the Jeju Jeolmul Recreational Forest and the Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market are some of the country’s top tourist attractions.


The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism selected 13 places nationwide based on their contributions to the national tourism industry and presented them with Korea Tourism Awards.


Jeolmul Recreational Forest won based on its attractiveness as a tourist spot, while the Olle Market was singled out for the unique shopping opportunities it offers.


Both were recognized as standouts among the island’s tourism offerings and their impact on the local tourism industry.


절물휴양림·올레시장, '한국관광의 별' 선정


제주 절물자연휴양림과 서귀포 매일올레시장이 우리나라 우수 관광자원으로 선정됐습니다.


문화체육관광부는 전국의 관광자원 가운데 한국관광 발전에 이바지한 13군데를
'한국관광의 별'로 선정했다고 밝혔습니다.


제주에서는 절물 자연휴양림이 관광 매력물 부문에 선정됐고, 서귀포 매일올레시장은 이색관광자원 분야 쇼핑 부문에 이름을 올렸습니다.


이들 두 곳은 도내 유사 관광지와의 차별성, 지역관광에 미치는 파급력 등에서 높은 평가를 받았습니다.
