‘Venture Company Promotion District’ expanded
Now encompasses JNU, Jeju International University, etc.

Local authorities have expanded the “Venture Company Promotion District” around the Jeju Science Park.

The district now encompasses the area within 4.5 kilometers of the park, which includes Jeju National University, Jeju International University, the Jeju campus of Korea Polytechnics, and the Jeju Human Resources Development Institute.

Venture companies in the district qualify for breaks in real estate acquisition tax and property tax. They also can benefit from other government initiatives in support of small and mid-sized enterprises.
