Seoul High Court dismisses ‘April Third’ appeal
Plaintiffs wanted memorial hall banned from displaying some items

A court has again rejected a demand that the Jeju April Third Peace Memorial Hall be banned from exhibiting certain items.

The Seoul High Court dismissed the appeal that targeted a number of exhibitions at the hall.

The six plaintiffs in the case included (이인수) Lee In-soo, who is the adopted son of former President (이승만) Rhee Syngman. They had sued the governor of Jeju and the chairman of the Jeju April Third Peace Foundation to get the exhibits removed.

In its written ruling, the court said it could find no reasonable justification for the action because it determined that the plaintiffs had no right to file the suit in the first place.

재판부는 판결문에서 원고들에게 이 사건 기념관의 전시물 전반에 관한 공정한 전시를 주장할 권리가 존재한다고 보기 어려워 이같이 선고한다고 판시했습니다.
