Ringing in the new year in Jeju City
Traditional performances, food at City Hall

An event to ring in the new year at Jeju City Hall will include the striking of a traditional drum at midnight on December 31st.

The festival will start at 10:20 p.m. with a traditional percussion performance. A laser show, dance performances, and other attractions will follow.

Thirty-three people have already been selected to strike the drum, including one person who was born on January first, 1957. Other residents will also be given the opportunity.

In addition, the (새마을) Saemaeul Women’s Society of Ido 2-dong will offer rice-cake soup as part of the New Year’s celebrations.


오는 31일 제야의 용고타고 행사 열려

새해 시민들의 무사안녕을 기원하는 제야의 용고타고 행사가 오는 31일 자정 제주시청 한얼의 집을 중심으로 열립니다.

이날 행사는 밤 10시 20분부터 이도2동 민속보존회 풍물패의 길트기 행사를 시작으로 레이져 쇼와 댄스, 무용공연 등으로 진행됩니다.

특히 용고타고는 1957년 정유년 1월 1일 태어난 대표시민을 비롯해 미리 선정된 33명에 이어 일반 시민들에게도 기회가 주어집니다.

이와함께 이도2동 새마을부녀회가 새해맞이 떡국도 제공합니다.
