Jeolmul Natural Recreation Forest awarded again
One of island’s ‘top public tourist attractions’ for second year in a row

Authorities have selected Jeolmul Natural Recreation Forest as one of the island’s top public tourist attractions for the second year in a row.

Jeju City officials say the provincial government ranked the forest at number two on the island in a recent assessment of operations at public tourist sites. It came in first last year.

Meanwhile, the Korea Tourism Organization lauded it as a “Star of Korean Tourism” for its high level of disabled accessibility.

More than 740,000 people have visited Jeolmul since it opened in 1997. That makes it the most visited among the 41 recreation forests in the country.

제주시 절물자연휴양림이 2년 연속 우수 공영관광지에 선정됐습니다.

제주시에 따르면 절물자연휴량림은 지난해 제주도가 주관한 공영관장지 운영평가에서 최우수상을 수상한데 이어 올해 우수상을 수상했습니다.

특히 한국관광공사가 주관한 관광매력물 부문 장애물 없는 관광자원에서 최고 점수를 받아 '한국관광의 별'로도 선정됐습니다.

절물자연휴량림 입장객은 1997년 개장 이후 74만명을 넘어 전국 41개 국립자연휴량림 가운데 가장 많습니다.
