Crackdown on election violations
Offenses may be reported by calling 1390

The Jeju Election Commission is cracking down on Election Law violations in the runup to the lunar new year.

Violations include, but are not limited to, providing money or food at events or gatherings of constituents, giving out presents at senior citizens centers, and putting up banners seeking support but disguised as holiday greetings.

Candidates are allowed to visit battle or conscripted police units and encourage them with gifts or messages of support in writing or on social media.

Anyone who sees an Election Law violation may report it by calling 1-3-9-0 from anywhere in the country.

선관위, 설 앞두고 선거법 위반 중점 단속

제주특별자치도선거관리위원회가 설 명절을 앞두고 선거법 위반행위를 중점 단속합니다.

주요 단속내용은 선거구민의 행사나 모임에 금품이나 음식물을 제공하는 행위,
경로당이나 노인정에 선물을 제공하는 행위, 명절 인사를 빙자해 지지를 호소하는 내용이 담긴 현수막을 게시하는 행위 등입니다.

다만 선거구내 전.의경이 근무중인 기관이나 부대를 방문해 위문금품을 제공하거나
의례적인 인사말을 문자메시지나 SNS로 전송하는 행위는 가능합니다.

제주도선관위는 선거법위반행위를 발견하면 전국 어디서나 1390번으로 신고해 줄 것을 당부하고 있습니다.
