Critics say it’s unfair of Jeju City to set up new mini collection stations for recyclables only at studio apartment buildings.

The city says it is installing them in (아라동) Ara-dong and (노형동) Nohyeong-dong in response to complaints that those homes are too small to hold the recyclables until the designated day for their disposal.

The new system is set up so that the building custodians haul the waste from the mini stations to the neighborhood “Clean House” collection station on the proper day.

Critics argue that, not only is this unfair, but that it is just a temporary fix.
