Expanded ‘Safe School Trip Service’
Jeju is popular destination for schools across the country

The provincial government is expanding what it calls its “Safe School Trip Service.”

Many schools across the nation choose Jeju as their trip destination, and the province was the first to launch this kind of service in the country.

Schools who take advantage of it receive safety reports for the accommodations, tour buses, and restaurants they plan to use and visit while here. The province will start offering reports for amusement facilities this year.

390 schools used the service when it was launched in 2014. That number spiked to 1,300 schools last year.

제주특별자치도가 전국 최초로 시행하고 있는 안심수학여행서비스를 확대 운영합니다.

안심수학여행서비스는 수학여행단이 제주에서 머물 숙박시설과 관광버스, 음식점 등에 대해 사전 안전점검을 실시한 후 그 결과를 해당 학교에 사전 통보하는 것으로
제주도는 올해부터 점검대상을 유원시설까지로 확대합니다.

시행 첫 해인 지난 2014년의 경우 신청학교는 390곳이었고 지난해는 1천 300여곳으로 늘면서 호응을 얻고 있습니다.
