Province signs agreement with Taiwanese port corporation
Part of efforts to diversify cruise industry

The provincial government has signed an agreement with the corporation that runs Taiwan’s Keelung Port as part of efforts to diversify the cruise market.

Representatives from the two sides signed the paper Friday at the ICC. They promised to promote attractions at each destination and work together to make sure cruise tourists enjoy their trips to both ports.

In addition, they plan to form a working-level team to boost both markets through cruise tours.

Taiwan trails only China in Asia as the country with the most cruise ship tourists.

제주도가 크루즈 관광 시장 다변화를 위해 대만 기륭항만공사와 상호 업무협약을 체결했습니다.

오늘 제주국제컨벤션센터에서 열린 협약식에서 양 기관은 상호 크루즈 관광객들의 편의와 관광지 홍보에 적극 협력하기로 약속했습니다.

특히 실무팀을 구성해 크루즈 관광을 통한 지역상권 활성화에 서로 노력하기로
했습니다.

한편 대만은 중국에 이어 아시아에서 크루즈 관광객을 가장 많이 보내고 있는 나라입니다.
