Hanon Crater Wetland to get visitor center
Will be across from Seogwipo Girls’ Middle School

The Hanon Crater Wetland is prized for its ecological value, and workers will soon begin creating a visitor center for it.

The city of Seogwipo will remodel an existing 55-square-meter warehouse that sits across from Seogwipo Girls’ Middle School.

The center will help visitors understand the value of the wetland. It will be equipped for environmental education programs and it will provide a place for visitors to rest after exploring the area.

Starting next February, the city will station two guides at the center to run various programs.

서귀포 하논습지 방문자센터 조성

학술과 생태적 가치가 높은 서귀포 하논습지에 방문자센터가 들어섭니다.

서귀포시는 다음달부터 서귀포여중 맞은편 부지에 55제곱미터 규모 창고를 개축하는 방문자센터 공사에 들어갑니다.

방문자센터는 환경교육홍보관과 방문객 쉼터를 갖추고 하논분화구 가치를 알리게 됩니다.

또한 내년 2월부터는 해설사 2명을 상주시켜 프로그램을 운영할 방침입니다.
